LASER APPLICATIONS

Lasers designed for research, engineered for industry.

PIV & Visualisation

Litron Lasers is the acknowledged leader in supplying lasers for PIV applications, ranging from lamp pumped Nd:YAG lasers in the 15 to 200Hz repetition rates range up to diode pumped Nd:YLF and Nd:YAG lasers giving kHz repetition rates for high speed applications.

Spectroscopy & LIBS

We offer the widest range of laser systems to fit your spectroscopy needs. Our laser systems’ narrow linewidth enables precise wavelength resolution to be achieved while the high peak powers from mode locked and Q-switched lasers enable nonlinear optical phenomena to be investigated.

Remote Sensing & LIDAR

Litron’s Q-switched solid-state Nd:YAG lasers provide the necessary high peak powers and repetition rates. These are used to obtain meaningful data for applications such as LIDAR, environmental monitoring or atmospheric research.

Scientific Research

With over 3,000 units working in 33 countries, Litron’s expertise in supporting leading edge science is second to none. Litron can deliver systems providing ultra-high energy, high power peaks, wide tuning range, injection seeding, ultra-stable beam pointing or any combination of features for your research.

LCD & Semiconductor

Litron’s Nd:YAG lasers have been widely used for LCD & Semiconductor applications, including LCD repair, cleaning or silicon annealing. Our pulsed Nd:YAG flashlamp lasers can provide high energy outputs while ensuring high performance and repeatability over time.

Laser Pump Source

Litron Lasers developed a range of tunable pulsed Nd:YAG lasers for applications such as OPO pumping, Ti:Sapphire pumping or Dye Laser pumping. Whether your application requires an integrated, Invar-built system or a module, we can provide the right type of tunable laser system,

Photoacoustic Imaging

Litron Lasers utilises their expertise to support emerging techniques such as photoacoustic imaging. Our Q-switched, pulsed Nd:YAG lasers are tunable and can provide the right frequency and output energy to achieve optimal results for this application.

Surface Processing & Ablation

Litron’s pulsed Nd:YAG lasers are used in a wide variety of material processing applications. From cutting and welding to laser marking, laser peening and laser deposition, our Q-switched, rugged systems provide outstanding results for industrial processes.
